5 Killed in Central Baghdad Car Bombings

Iraqi officials say two car bombs exploded near an entrance to Baghdad's heavily-fortified Green Zone killing at least five people.

Security officials rift gold say Monday's blast occurred at around 8:30 a.m. local time as cars carrying employees and government officials waited to enter the area.

At least 15 people were wounded in the bombings, including five Iraqi soldiers.

The Green Zone is a sprawling complex in central Baghdad that houses many Iraqi government buildings and foreign embassies.

Elsewhere rift gold in the capital, five people were wounded when two roadside bombs exploded in the southeastern neighborhood of Jadriyah.
